Hello everyone! Just wanted to do a quick update before I completely forget I have an online blog. I've been quite busy these past couple of weeks designing characters for a cartoon show in the works so thats why I haven't updated or anything. This girl I drew after working hard on the designs, I just wanted to do something fast and with a pen, a dash of colour and I tried goache on her bunny slippers.

I did these before my wacom went kaputz. I am in dire need of a new wacom--a cintiq would be amazing and yet so pricey.

I did this drawing a while ago, but I forgot to post it because I had lost my recycled sketch book. I finally found it recently.

A doodle of my Rånny character. I've always liked playing with his design and shapes, it's definitely great practise.

More Rånny doodles. I like the little belly on this one.

Peach and Wario. I forgot how Wario looked like so I know I messed up on his design and colours.

Once upon a time, I had a tablet...okay, so that is it for this update. I can't show you the designs I am working on, maybe later, later on.

Wow, we're almost near the middle of December and well, I can't believe 06' is coming to a close soon. Here is one of (hopefully) several concluding art posts by me this year. I am definitely looking forward for next year.

Here are some warm up drawings I did before getting in the 'mood' to sketch other ones. I like to play with different shapes, see what I can design by using something other than a circle.

I particularly liked this girls head shape.

So I continued to design a character with a similar head and some cute 60's fashion.

This girl here has a 60's inspired cocktail dress on. I really enjoy designing dress patterns and clothes.

The Rångamsh gang sporting some festive winter threads.

I did this quick pen drawing of this exact same girl and I really liked the sullen eye look, hair style, and earrings I did for her--which lead to these more finished pencil drawings.

Here is a life drawing I did of my fabulous grandmother. I tried playing with colours here, tried some cooler tones and added some nice bright pinks. Too bad the pen smeared. lol.

I'm currently designing this years holiday card that I will be sending out to close e-friends and irl-friends and family. This was my first idea for the card design, but I think I might reject it and go for another one.

This is another drawing for this years holiday card. I want it to be kind of 60's fashion with a cute Christmas theme.

Another, I really like the idea, hopefully my card will turn out beautiful and I won't have problems printing them at Office Depot or wherever I happen to go to print them out. Hole in the Head

This is going to be a rather large update that will archive drawings from the scope of these past several days including drawings of people that looked interesting while I was at Jury Duty, yesterday!

Two rånny drawings, a drawing for the wonderful Kai-Oh, and a girly head. Had to add a gurllll.

Man, everyone is talking about the Wii and what not, I personally don't care about games anymore but I do enjoy drawing Mario and company occasionally. Well, I have to be honest, the only Wii game that I am anxiously awaiting is Smash Bros. Brawl--I can't get enough of those fighting games!

I busted out my ghetto overused brush pens for these. The bad ass version of Mario (with his cap on backwards) and a more stylish Peach, well, at least her dress.

I've been experimenting with getting my digital illustrations to look traditional; playing with different brushes, etc. I have no name for this guy and he's for a personal project I am currently developing. He looks like a Wally? I don't know.

All day long while I waited to get randomly chosen to participate in a court case, I kept drawing everything that piqued my interest. There were too many interesting looking people at once and I wanted to draw a lot of them (especially) in the court room--too bad I couldn't--because there was a lot of really fun looking people in there. A lot of the women's suits looked quite fashionable and so did this lovely decorative tree inside the court house on the 5th floor.

This asian man wasn't articulate to go forth with the case, so after answering several questions, he was excused. He left with a big grin on his face. Silly man.

This rail thin asian girl caught my eye, she looked like a really nice woman. I drew her quickly while she was cajoling with her partners. I drew that lady from the back while I was waiting to randomly be called up, I liked the way she was standing.

This girl had 'MTV Laguna Beach' written all over her face, but I liked her style and her boots really caught my eye. They were some really foldy type of boots that went all the way up to her knees. She had a red orange sweater, white shirt underneath, and blue jeans. She was always on the phone.

This was my first attempt drawing her along with this tall mans profile.

Here she is playing with her hair. She was eventually excused because she was flying to New York this Sunday and the case was to last 5 days. Too bad Judge Johnson scheduled her to return in February. Well, there was a bunch of awesome people that I quickly sketched but didn't quite finish, I remember their faces, body types, and clothes that they were wearing, so hopefully I can do some memory sketches tonight. For those that are interested, these were all drawn in black pen, ball point pen, and I used a brush pen and a prisma marker to colour around some of the drawings. Au revoir, November, until next year. I am now 21.

Well...it's been a little over two months since I've posted on here and well--I had a really good excuse since I woz in the process of finishing school and once I woz done with that, I took a vacation. So a two month hiatus from blogger land isn't a big deal, I hope--but even with that said, I can't thank you guys enough for the comments left on my prior posts and I am going to visit everyone as soon as I can, cos right now I am searching for a job in the animation field. How exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time--an amalgamation of feelings I've never felt before! ha. Well, this new post contains loads of cute, flamboyant, cirkus elephants, those poor creatures. A while back, I did lots of elephant studies at the San Diego Zoo with friends which helped in designing these showy pachyderms.

Which reminds me, I need to visit the zoo again. I love animals!

I woz utterly upset these past few days cos my russian dwarf hamster Pavel died. He truly woz the nicest little hamster, never bit anyone, always playful, and it woz really great having him as a pet. He loved sunflower seeds and had a little hole in his right ear and this drawing is dedicated to him. Well, that's it for this update. You Can't Mistake My Zoology

Hello everyone! I've been visiting my local zoo and farm as of recently to draw and study our lovable friends of the animal kingdom. I've always loved animals since I was a kid and always managed to be a caretaker of many pets growing up, from dogs, hamsters, freshwatered fish, and pigeons, to parrots, turtles, guinea pigs, and bunnies, my house was literally a zoo of it's own. We'll start off with a corpulent pig I spotted at the zoo, I absolutely loved the way it was sleeping, with it's ears covering it's eyes. I thought that was really cute.

Here is an adorable little piglet, just recently born. While I was drawing them, he would come over to my side to see what was up.

Can llama's be anymore good looking? I think not. lol. I love drawing their long eyelashes.

I went to the zoo with my good friend Chingyi, and I drew her in place of a chimp. lol. She is a wonderful artist and I highly encourage everyone to check out her lovely artwork!

Emu's are incredible, it's insane how they resemble a raptor. I had a lot of fun drawing him and would definitely want him as a pet! Zoo Are Not The Father!

I've been drawing a lot of animals as of late because my good and super talented pal Robin encouraged and inspired me (aka blackmailed--lol, jk) to do so! She is ace and you should go check her beautiful work out when you get the chance here: Robinz.

A goofy pachyderm, inspired by a container of body lotion--or atleast the shape.

An eccentric looking giraffe, I wanted to try a new pattern on it's body, so I got a classy floral pattern to make it look pretty.

Cute elephants and giraffes, albino too! I forgot the ears on that giraffe, whoops!

Here are some animal drawings I did at my local farm two years ago, I never got around posting these drawings, but since this is an animal post, might as well include it, right!?

Here is a drawing of Rånny for my DVD cover I worked on for my demo reel. I am still finishing that up and its been rather stressful times in rannyworld.

I liked her hair for some odd reason.

Well, I think this is going to be the way I'll be inking and colouring my character for my animated short. I am officially done with my 2006 Spring Quarter and now I plan to work nonstop these upcoming three weeks of vacation on animating and drawing heaps of character designs. Summer of Love

This hot, steamy, summer, let 'Playdoctor' entertain the copious amounts of horny lovers. lol. This was actually done for my schools production class where I wanted to give the cover a vintage quality to it. I don't think I've explained the short I am currently working on, but I'll upload the storyboards next time! Its a cute little story about an Alligator eating his Dentist.

Japanese pop culture is amazing. I was inspired by watching some Youtube videos that featured this cute girl dancing and singing to a very catchy tune! Their voices are so squeaky...if only I knew how to decipher the japanese vernacular D:

She is one bad ass strippa. So, I need to check up on some more Bloggers and I shall soon take heed. I just need to spread my school and internet time evenly to achieve optimal results. Hi everyone! Here are some more drawings I've done throughout the week. I have a bunch more I need to scan cos they are in my sketchbook; so I'll save those for the next updation.

This is a design for my friend, Chingyi. She needed a character with style and attitude for a wicked short she will be working on. After copious amounts of drawings, this one won her heart.

Here are some more doodles. I really like the girl and her puppy. I might draw her and work on their design more once I am done with school...which will hopefully be at the end of the Summer. Hello everyone! Here is one of my 'POPGIRL' drawings to be included in my flatwork portfolio. I am going to do a whole bunch of sexy girls with neat clothing and cute faces. Its gonna be real fun and I'll post them all here!

Here's another illo where I played with textures and colour. Inking the piece was probably the hardest part in the completion process. I had to vary the line thickness to create some nice movement and shapes that stayed true to the original doodle. I've been studying the face of my all-time favourite French actress; Catherine Deneuve. She is absolutely stunning and I want to meet her in France while eating a chiabatta baguette along side a glass of wine. Isn't her profile just lovely? It was modeled for a coin in France cos shes that pretty. Well, I am off to Zanzibar!

Young Offender

I am doing a series of 'POP GIRL' drawings and this is just a prelimanary sketch for one of them. I think I'll hold off from showing the others until I have all of them done. This is one of three girls in high socks, bright shirts and short-shorts.

I ended up deconstructing Lauren Collins face and studying her features while they aired a new episode of 'Degrassi: The Next Generation' last Friday where she had a lesbian love affair with her friend Alex. I love her stubby nose, sullen eye look, and drawing with a pen. Its great.

More pen drawings of this weird looking woman at a life drawing session. She had an interesting face that I couldn't quite capture right, plus she literally bent her ass to me when we were drawing her. I think I turned red.

Just a bunch of pen and pencil doodles. Some are rånny doodles for my short, others are just inspired by people I see on the streets or on T.V, etc, etc. Try to find Angel from 'Rent' in my doodles!

C U L8TER, ALLIGATOR. Here is a character design for my production studio class. The group wanted an alligator character that would translate well in 3D. We have the model already and it looks great.

You're an Obsession

My obsessions are clearly things of high class and sophistication; sketchbook drawing, gardening, and biting my nails. Now, that I got that confession out of the way, here is a llama for your mama.

I've been going every week to my local farm/market place to draw these very nice animals. I've gotten to know them so well, that everytime I go visit them, they immediately come forward to grab a bite out of my sketchbook. The llama wanted to spit in my face. What a cute bastard. Here are a bunch of pen drawings, I am trying to perfect my pen drawing ability. I will be posting my advances as I gradually continue to go visit my mammilian friends, with realistic and cartoony drawing studies. Oh, rapture!

A lot of sketchbook drawings! I love sketchbooks. I have several hanging out in my closet. I have a bad habit of leaving the last pages of my sketchbooks unused. Is this wrong? Does anyone else have the same problem? I shall have an altercation with myself after finishing this new post about this topic.

Lettuce Entertain You!

With that of a big ass post; after excluding poor ol' January 06'. Boy, in the midst of finishing school...which has officially put a damper on my social and internet life, I've stumbled upon organic gardening which has been a breath of fresh air and has also alleviated some of my stress levels to a minimum. I'am currently nurturing baby lettuce with the right amount of sunlight, water, and classical music while I finish designs for my animated short (which I shall post soon). Listen, its a great way to enjoy nature and spinsterhood at the same time while giving birth to baby lettuce heads; albeit I am a male. I am a winner! Incentive all the way! I give life to lettuce thanks to photosynthesis and once they've matured, I get to make a salad. lol. Anyways, here are some old and new drawings to 'entertain' the blog-kin.

This is gonna probably be the final design of Rånny for my senior thesis. I am still working on final designs for him and five other characters. I have the story, style, and inspiration down and then I start animating with great fervor. Its a very cute story and I've been getting great input. I'll post the animatic up the next chance I get to update.

A lot of unfinished doodles...I have a ton more, but these were on the computer and I was too lazy to scan in the others from my sketchbook, (which include a lot of life drawings) but I will soon.

Designs for an animated short I came up with last year. I animated some of it already, but I didn't finish cos I didn't have enough time. I will finish animating it once I am done with school. I changed the title of the short to 'Cocktail Weenies.' Everyone loved it and I was happy about that. I won't spoil the story, yet. c:

Here is my holiday card design for this year and I have yet to go print and send them out via carrier penguin. Oy gevault. I knew I should have stuck with an easier card design, as in: (CARDBOARD AND LOTS OF GLITTER). I went to 'Office Depot' to print them out today and their printer was absolutely horrid, only one good print came out of that pathetic excuse for a printer and the rest were smeared. Woe is me. I think I should change the resolution to 300? Will that make the print better on glossy? Does anyone know? This holiday season, I continue to be stressed out to the max. Well, Happy Holidays everyone and a MEGA THX to all that comment on my little blogger; now re-named: RANDY-VOUS. Very sexy.

Hello everyone! I am done with finals and officially on my winter break. That means that I will be consuming lots of whale blubber in order to survive the harsh climate that the California winter season brings us every year; I mean, I already finished my igloo blueprints. I am celebrating here, by watching a marathon of Cirque De Soleil shows on Bravo. It can't get cooler than that, kids. Oh and here is a drawing of my character wearing my lovely jacket I found at a thrift shop a couple of months ago, yup, its that awesome and I love wearing it. Well, I expect to draw a lot during my Eskimonian-like break, finish my holiday cards, work on my senior thesis, and play lots of YAHTZEE!!!
